Whether you're ordering through our Web site or by mail, phone or fax, you can
pay for your purchases with the Domestications®
Credit Card, Visa, MasterCard, Discover Network, and American Express. For
mailed in orders, you can also pay by check or money order (please do not send

Do I have to pay taxes?
For phone, mail, fax or Internet orders, we are required to collect sales tax
in the following states:

Doesn't the Internet Tax Freedom Act say that I don't
have to pay sales tax when shopping online?
The Internet Tax Freedom Act prevents states from imposing any new taxes on
Internet transactions. States in which we conduct business (in our corporate
offices, fulfillment centers, etc.) in the "real" world require us to collect
sales tax under their pre-existing sales tax laws.

Do you offer installment billing? How does it work?
INSTALLMENT BILLING – Take 3 Months to Pay!
With the Domestications® Credit Card:
- Enjoy 3 equal payments with 0% interest
- No finance charges if you pay your balance in full within 3 months from date of purchase.
No minimum purchase required.
*Note: You must request Installment Payment at time of purchase. We will authorize the full value of your order at time of purchase which will reduce your available credit by that amount. If you use your Domestications® credit card and do not pay the plan in full before the promotional period ends, or regular revolving and/or any promotional plan payments are not paid when required for two consecutive billing cycles, under this or any other Domestications® promotional credit plan, the remaining balance will be included in your regular revolving balance and regular credit terms will apply. As of September 1, 2009, accounts are subject to an APR of 22.8%, this rate may vary. Minimum FINANCE CHARGE of $1.00 based on Average Daily Balance.
With all Major Credit Cards:
- You’ll be billed with 3 equal payments (1st payment will have your taxes and any other charges added onto it).
- No minimum purchase required.

- You’ll have no payments and no interest or finance charges for up to 5 months.
- No minimum purchase required. U.S. orders only.
*Note: You must request Deferred Billing at time of purchase. We will authorize the full value of your order at time of purchase which will reduce your available credit by that amount. When is my credit card charged for my order?
Your credit card is charged when your order is shipped. If multiple shipments
are required to fulfill your order, you will be billed as the items are
shipped. Shipping fees, as well as taxes,
if applicable, are charged on a pro-rated basis as items are shipped.Back

Can I order online without a credit card?
We currently can only accept online orders placed with a credit card, but we
will be offering the ability to order online with a check or money order in the

Does Domestications guarantee that my credit card
information will be secure?
Domestications is committed to taking every possible step toward preventing credit card fraud. By entering your card identification number, you help us to do so:
- Visa, MasterCard and Discover Network: The three-digit identification number is located on the signature strip on the back of the card.
- American Express: The four-digit identification number is located on the front of the card, above and to the right of your card number.
We understand that not everyone is comfortable ordering online with a credit card, but rest assured that we employ high industry standards to create a secure environment for our Web shoppers. You can confidently use your credit card to place your order with us online.
Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be
100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information,
Domestications®
cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us or
from our online products or services, and you do so at your own risk. Once we
receive your transmission, we make our best effort to ensure its security on
our systems. When your credit card information is transmitted to Domestications®
we use industry standard, SSL (secure socket layer) encryption to ensure the
security of your information. We also have appropriate security measures in
place in our physical facilities to protect against the loss, misuse or
alteration of information that we have collected from you at Domestications®
Regardless of the foregoing, due to the open nature of the internet, we do not
guarantee the absence of theft, hacker activity, electronic or non-electronic
tampering, or computer crime, and we disclaim responsibility and liability for
stolen information, except to the extent of the following commitment we make to
you. We are so confident in the security of our website that we guarantee the
safety of your personal information when you use your credit card to place an
order on our secure site. If you find unauthorized charges on your credit card
as a result of shopping on www.domestications.com, you won't pay a penny.

Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, your bank cannot hold you liable for any
fraudulent charges in excess of $50.00. If your bank does charge you the $50.00
fee, and the unauthorized charges resulted through no fault of your own from
purchases made at www.domestications.com, we will reimburse you the full amount
of the liability, up to $50.00. You must first notify your credit card provider
in the manner required by the provider if you believe unauthorized charges have
appeared on your account.

What should I do if I believe credit card fraud has
resulted from an order I placed on Domestications.com?
If you suspect that there are unauthorized charges on your credit card,
immediately notify your credit card provider. Then contact our customer service
department at

. We will investigate your claim and work with your credit card company to
resolve the claim as quickly as possible.Back

Do you offer gift certificates?
Shopping for a gift but not sure what to buy? Nothing satisfies like a
Domestications Gift Certificate! To order a gift certificate by phone, call us
at 1-800-826-8240. To order online, just click
here You can then continue shopping, or if you're ready to complete
your purchase, click on "purchase" and complete the requested
information. We will immediately send a card announcing your upcoming gift (if
ordering more than one gift certificate, remember that we can only ship to one
address per Internet order. If you would like to order gift certificates to be
sent to multiple addresses, please call us to place your order). The
certificate will arrive with the current issue of Domestications and your good
wishes. If you order an e-Gift Certificate, you will receive an email within
24-48 hours containing the certificate. You can forward the email to the
recipient or print the certificate and slip it in a card.

Can I redeem a gift certificate online?
In addition to redeeming gift certificates through the mail, you can also
redeem them online for the full cost of the item(s), delivery and service
charges, and any applicable taxes. When you reach the payment information page
during checkout, enter the gift certificate number and the dollar amount into
the appropriate fields. If the amount of your order exceeds the amount of your
gift certificate, you will also be required to enter credit card information.
Once we are able to confirm the validity and dollar amount of your gift
certificate, we will apply it to your order and only charge your credit card
for any amount that exceeds the gift certificate amount. We will notify you via
email of the final amount, if any, charged to your card.

What if the cost of my order is less than the amount of
my gift certificate?
If there is a remaining balance of $10 or more on the gift certificate, we will
send you a new gift certificate for the difference. If the remaining balance is
less than $10, we will leave the amount on your account as a store credit
toward a future purchase. If you have any questions, feel free to call us at
1-800-826-8240.

Can I redeem a gift certificate for cash?
No; it is treated as store credit and can only be used toward the purchase of
Domestications merchandise.

If a gift certificate is used to make a purchase, and
the purchase is returned, how does the gift certificate recipient get
reimbursed?
Once the return is received in our warehouse, a credit for the cost of the
merchandise will be issued in the form of a new gift certificate for the
original recipient. It will be valid for one year and can be used like any
other gift certificate.
